Recover .imx (iMindMap) files
iMindMap / ThinkBuzan was discontinued in 2023, leaving years of radiant-thinking maps locked inside .imx files. MindBridge opens them now, on macOS and Windows.
What MindBridge recovers
Your iMindMap map, brought across — nothing lost
MindBridge reads the iMindMap file directly and rebuilds it as an editable map, then saves a clean .bridge copy. Recovered:
- Full branch structureThe whole radiant tree — central idea, branches and sub-branches — laid out cleanly.
- Notes, links & imagesBranch notes, hyperlinks, embedded images and attachments travel with the nodes.
- Tasks & stylingTask data (start/due dates, priority, completion) and branch colours/styling are preserved.
Legacy files vary by version and condition, so the free preview shows exactly what was recovered before you pay — and your original is never touched.
Questions
About recovering iMindMap (.imx) files
Can I open .imx files without iMindMap installed?
Yes. MindBridge reads .imx files directly, so you do not need iMindMap or Ayoa installed — helpful since iMindMap was discontinued in 2023. The map opens as an editable canvas you can keep working in.
What does MindBridge recover from an iMindMap file?
The full radiant branch structure, branch notes, hyperlinks, embedded images and attachments, task data (start/due dates, priority, completion), and branch colours and styling.
Is my original .imx file changed?
No. MindBridge opens the .imx read-only and never writes back to it. Recovered work is saved separately as a .bridge copy, so the original is left exactly as it was.
