Turn .md / .markdown / .txt outlines into a map
Years of notes and outlines live in plain markdown and text files. MindBridge reads them directly and rebuilds them as an editable mind map — no copy-and-paste, your original untouched.
What MindBridge recovers
Your outline, as a map — nothing lost
MindBridge reads the file directly and rebuilds it as an editable map, then saves a clean .bridge copy. Recovered:
- Headings become branchesMarkdown headings (#, ##, ###) form the hierarchy, top to bottom.
- Nested lists nestBullet and numbered lists become sub-branches at the right depth — and pure-indented text outlines work too.
- Links & notesMarkdown links are kept, and prose under a heading is carried across as that branch's note.
Questions
About recovering Markdown (.md / .txt) files
Can MindBridge turn a Markdown file into a mind map?
Yes. MindBridge reads .md and .txt files and turns their headings and bullet outlines into a structured branch map you can edit.
What kind of Markdown works best?
Files that use headings (#, ##) and bullet lists convert most cleanly, since that nesting becomes the branch hierarchy.
Is my original Markdown file changed?
No — the file is read-only input. The recovered map saves separately as a .bridge copy.
